Quinn of Axeford (Ironsworn Actual Play - Session 12)
Session 0 Session 11 Another frustrating to start to this session, in terms of roll results, but things did even out some as it went on, at least. The intrigue has certainly ramped up, which is kind of wild considering this whole beast hunt sidequest started out as just the result of a weak hit on reaching my destination, but that's the Ironsworn way. Had it not been for that miss when making camp, I might have been in a position to try finishing it in this session, but con

Session 0 Session 10 This session was frustrating to play. Fun, too, but with ten rolls that came up as either weak hits or misses, half of which were 1 action score away from being a better result category, it seemed like everything I tried doing was futile. Granted, I did still make some decent progress towards the iron vow I'm focusing on despite that, and I was pleased with the dice setting me up for the conflict that I had been hoping for as the climax of this vow (bec
Workout Recap - Week of October 5, 2025
Between the holiday on Monday and a work trip later on, I'll have my workout pattern disrupted this coming week. Maybe that'll be a good thing overall. Session 0 Session 9 I'd expected this to be mostly travel montage stuff, but that miss on Undertake A Journey gave a pretty fun detailed scene. Which, yes, I understand that that's the point of the Move, but even so, it's neat that it worked out like that and finally gave Quinn a chance to lean into his Trickster asset, since that seemed like the one which has seen the least impactful use overall (aside from Awakening, but it's hardly fair to compare one he started with to o

Session 0 Session 8 Going into this, I had a few different thoughts about what I could do with the EXP that Quinn was sitting on. There are a few upgrades for his existing assets that I want, and there are also a handful of rituals that felt fitting to pick up based on the experiences with the mystic site resulting from the initial miss on fulfilling the vow to help Redmoor. I ended up deciding to roleplay out some more of Quinn's time at this settlement, and with the way t
