Workout Recap - Week of December 5, 2021
Given my project on here of late, I feel like I've had JoJo's Bizarre Adventure coming out of every orifice this week. I still did five workouts despite that, though I can see in hindsight that the individual workout difficulty was scaled down. Room for progress.
Monday
Type: As Fast As Possible
3 sets of:
11/8/5 Pull Ups
21/15/9 Plyometric Lunges
21/15/9 Straight Leg Raises
Time = 4:00
Bonus: 9 burpees
A quick, simple, non-trivial workout that I think I handled reasonably well. I'll take it.
Wednesday
Type: As Fast As Possible
3 sets of:
11/8/5 Pull Ups
21/15/9 Plyometric Lunges
21/15/9 Straight Leg Raises
Time = 3:45
Bonus: 10 handstand push ups
On a whim, I decided to repeat the previous workout, and I was thrilled to hit a better completion time.
Thursday
Type: Pass/Fail
Uneven Pull Ups - 2 sets of 6, each side (pass)
Stand-to-stand Bridges, one wall touch on the way up - 2 sets of 6 (pass)
Archer Push Ups - 2 sets of 18, each side (pass)
Bonus: none
Jumping back into this routine, and I felt a little bit of rust. Nothing that I couldn't overcome, obviously, but my lats and pec minors were not happy with me afterwards.
Friday
Type: Pass/Fail
Handstand Push Ups - 1 set of 20 (pass)
Shrimp Squats, both hands behind me - 1 set of 13 (pass)
Bonus: none
My lats were still sore from my previous workout, so I skipping doing any bar work and pared things down to a single set.
Saturday
Type: Pass/Fail
Push Ups - 1 set of 30 (pass)
Hanging Leg Raises - 1 set of 14 (pass)
Bridges - 1 set of 20 (pass)
Bonus: 4 sets of 3 chest-tap push ups
My muscles were all feeling recovered by this day, but I didn't want to push things too hard too soon, just in case, so I played it safe with this routine.
