Workout Recap - Week of December 6, 2020
Another week down in the pandemic era. While I'd been generally pleased with the initial response in my area, as time has gone on, a combination of economics and fatigue seem to be causing lapses, regression, and other such bad moves. To anyone out there reading this, please do what you need to do to keep yourself safe and do what you can to minimize the risks you're exposing others to. While the vaccine study results look promising, it'll take time to get it distributed and administered on a global scale, and it'll take time to see how effective it truly is.
Monday
Type: As Fast As Possible
3 sets of:
21/15/9 Plyometric Lunges
21/15/9 Push Ups
21/15/9 Straight Leg Raises
Time = 4:30
Bonus: 20 breath isometric flex hang
Back to working against a clock, and the result was in line with what I'd been doing before. I'll take that as a good sign.
Wednesday
Type: Pass/Fail
Close Pull Ups - 1 set of 12 (pass)
Diamond Push Ups - 1 set of 22 (pass)
Hanging Straight Leg Raises - 1 set of 12 (pass)
Bonus: 10 breath isometric flex hang
More gradual progress on those rep counts. There isn't much else to say about this one.
Friday
Type: Pass/Fail
Shoulder-width Handstand Push Ups - 3 sets of 6 (pass)
Closing Bridges - 3 sets of 3 (pass)
Bonus: 20 breath isometric flex hang
A simple banger. I wasn't in the mood for anything complicated.
Saturday
Type: Pass/Fail
7 sets of:
7 Pull Ups
7 Bridges
Bonus: 1 pull up, 1 burpee
One of my old challenge workouts, though untimed for this go. I'm pretty sure I was slow with it, but I think trying to push myself through a few such workouts can clean off the rust and get me back where I used to be in relatively short order.
