Workout Recap - Week of July 25, 2021
As has been my trend of late, I'm back up to five workouts for this week. The dearth of bonuses might've made the workload a bit on the light side overall, but I'm fine with how they went. Unfortunately, I did start to experience a little discomfort with my left knee a few hours after the Saturday workout, so I'm hoping that clears itself up soon enough to wave it off as nothing serious.
Monday
Type: Pass/Fail
Uneven Pull Ups - 1 set of 6, each side (pass)
Archer Push Ups - 1 set of 12, each side (pass)
Bonus: none
After how things went down last week, I tried to ease my way back into things instead of full bore right off the bat. For that purpose, this was good.
Tuesday
Type: Pass/Fail
Close Handstand Push Ups - 2 sets of 12 (pass)
Shrimp Squats, both hands behind me - 2 sets of 8, both sides (pass)
Bonus: 8 breath isometric uneven flex hang (both sides)
Jumping right back up to where I'd left off with these movements, right down to having the same bonus. I felt solid but not yet strong enough to push harder.
Thursday
Type: Pass/Fail
Stand-to-stand Bridges, one wall touch on the way up - 2 sets of 6 (pass)
Isometric L-Hang - 2 sets of 20 breaths (pass)
Bonus: none
I felt offbeat for this workout. I'd been consuming more caffeine than I'm used to the last few days, and I think that all kind of caught up with me here. Still, it's not like it was a bad performance; I just wasn't feeling up to doing more.
Friday
Type: Pass/Fail
Uneven Pull Ups - 2 sets of 5, each side (pass)
Archer Push Ups - 2 sets of 10, each side (pass)
Bonus: 2 shoulder-width handstand push ups
It was good to see some progress with the push ups. It was also good to cut off the bonus so quickly, since I take that to mean I was near my limits with the workout itself.
Saturday
Type: Pass/Fail
Close Handstand Push Ups - 2 sets of 12 (pass)
Shrimp Squats, both hands behind me - 2 sets of 8, both sides (pass)
Bonus: none
I can't think of anything worth noting here, so let me just say thanks to any anonymous Internet people who've read this far.
