Workout Recap - Week of June 6, 2021

With all the hustle and bustle of those last two reviews, I forgot all about making this workout recap. Plus, honestly, there isn't a whole lot for me to say here, either. I'm just trying to get myself to a satisfactory level of fitness, make arrangements to finish my SARS-CoV-2 vaccination, and find some happiness in life.

 

Monday

Type: Pass/Fail

Close Handstand Push Ups - 3 sets of 9 (pass)

Isometric L-Hang - 3 sets of 15 breaths (pass)

Bonus: 35 squats


Grinding up more with these. I felt good doing the movements, but as was the case last week, I was still running out of steam faster than I'd like.


Wednesday

Type: Pass/Fail

Shrimp Squats - 3 sets of 8, both sides (pass)

Stand-to-stand Bridges, one wall touch on the way up - 3 sets of 4 (pass)

Bonus: 9 pull ups


I was easing into these again, but I felt good enough to jump back to where I'd been before the end of May, and my body responded well. A good sign.


Friday

Type: Pass/Fail

Uneven Pull Ups - 3 sets of 3, both sides (pass)

Push Ups - 3 sets of 15 (pass)

Bonus: 10 bridges


Honestly, I could've stepped up the push ups as well here, but I just didn't have the heart to get the necessary tools.


Saturday

Type: Pass/Fail


5 sets of:

5 Pull Ups (pass)

10 Push Ups (pass)

15 Prisoner Squats (pass)

Bonus: none


On the one hand, I'm glad that I was able to make it through five sets of this routine. On the other hand, the fact that it was even a challenge is disappointing. Still, nothing to be done about it but to keep cracking away. I've bounced back from setbacks with my fitness before, and I'm sure I'll do it again here.
