I know I'm late with this. I doubt anyone else noticed.

Monday

Muay Thai class

We had some more newbies than usual this day, so it was a fundamentals-focused class to help build them up. I worked in a trio with one good padholder and one bad padholder (who didn't have the excuse of being new, either). The latter was frustrating, especially when they don't listen to advice to help them be a better partner, but I forced myself to work through it. I also noticed that my targeting on my round kicks could be more precise, so that's something to focus on for myself going forward.

Tuesday

Muay Thai class

This was a kick-focused class that started out with a few drills involving doubled round kicks, so I got to do some immediate practice on my personal point of emphasis from the previous class. After a little bit, though, we did a big (12-part) drill station gauntlet rotation that took up the rest of the class. I started out going strong, felt myself flagging around the three-quarters mark, and then somehow got a second wind after a few stations to finish well on the last two. I'll take that as good stuff overall; there was room for improvement, but that's always going to be the case, and that otherwise seemed like a reasonably solid performance.

Wednesday

Muay Thai class

This class was more kick-focused practice. I was partnered with a boxer who recently started doing Muay Thai, so I had to dial back on my kicking power after the first few were clearly too much for them to handle safely. They seemed receptive to advice, though, so I had a good time working with them, and as usual, it was a nice impetus to focus on really dialing in my form to be a good example.

Thursday

Muay Thai class

The kru was focused on getting the fighters ready for the big competition this weekend, so the former (and possibly soon-returning) BJJ coach took over teaching the class. They didn't seem to have a clear focus for it, but we did a handful of good general drills. It worked well enough, and my punches were feeling quite spicy this day, so I'll take it as a fine change of pace.
