Workout Recap - Week of November 7, 2021
I don't know what I did with myself this week, in exercising or most other contexts. It seemed to pass in a blur of relief from resolving a few matters I was dealing with through October, so I suppose I should just be thankful for having done whatever I did and move forward from there.
Sunday
Type: Pass/Fail
Uneven Pull Ups - 2 sets of 6, each side (pass)
Stand-to-stand Bridges, one wall touch on the way up - 2 sets of 6 (pass)
Archer Push Ups - 2 sets of 17, each side (pass)
Bonus: 4 sets of 3 plyometric push ups, 10 breath isometric one-arm elevated plank (each side)
Grinding along with my push ups. The other movements felt decent, too, though I seemed to have more difficulty controlling the rotation of my torso during the right-side uneven pull ups than I'm used to.
Wednesday
Type: Pass/Fail
Uneven Handstand Push Ups - 1 set of 4, each side (pass)
Isometric L-Hang - 1 set of 31 breaths (pass)
Shrimp Squats, both hands behind me - 1 set of 12, each side (pass)
Bonus: none
Just repeating last week on this front.
Friday
Type: Pass/Fail
Uneven Pull Ups - 1 set of 8, each side (pass)
Stand-to-stand Bridges, one wall touch on the way up - 1 set of 8 (pass)
Push Ups - 1 set of 30 (pass)
Bonus: none
This was very much a "do it to have done something" workout. Better than nothing, though I'd question the margin on that.
Saturday
Type: As Fast As Possible
3 sets of:
21/15/9 Hammer Pull Ups
21/15/9 Prisoner Squats
21/15/9 Mountain Climbers (each side)
Time = 6:30
Bonus: none
I was feeling a bit off all day, so this ended up getting done in a tizzy during an inopportune time. Excuses aside, though, I think it was a reasonable performance. I'm sure I could've done better, but I can't change the past, so best to just take it as a benchmark and move on.
